Scott McCloud, an internationally recognized visual communication authority with more than three decades of professional comic-making experience, spoke Tuesday as part of Mississippi State's 2014-15 Institute for the Humanities Distinguished Lecture Series. During his well-attended presentation titled "Comics and the Art of Visual Communication," McCloud discussed the six universally recognized facial expressions that can be combined in images to express many more nuances of human emotion.
