Volunteers and students screw together components of the new MSU community gardens

Building a Better Community

Mississippi State University Sustainability Coordinator Christine Lashley and senior landscape architecture major Caitlin Buckner of Starkville work to install cedar steps during a workday to help build the MSU Community Garden. Additional workdays, open to all members of the campus and local community, are scheduled for April 18 and April 20. As part of Earth Week on April 21, MSU will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the community garden in the landscape architecture facility's courtyard.
