Tyler Towles, an entomology graduate student from Leland, examines emergence cages for corn earworm populations at MSU's R. R. Foil Plant Science Research Center, also known as North Farm. The corn earworm leaves the plant to burrow into the soil and emerge as a moth, and Towles is estimating the insect population.
