The late afternoon sun casts shadows on Mississippi State's Harned Hall, home to the university's Department of Biological Sciences. Built in 1921 in the Late Gothic style, Harned Hall was originally known as the "biology building." It was eventually named for H.H. Harned, long-time head of the microbiology department.
