Acclaimed author and Jackson native Kiese Laymon speaks to MSU students Tuesday [Feb. 19] in Old Main Academic Center during a featured Black History Month lecture. The Ottilie Schillig Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Mississippi was a guest of MSU's African American Studies program and read from his 2018 memoir "Heavy" before taking part in a question-and-answer session and book signing.
