The MSU team celebrates after winning the inaugural Unified Sports Magnolia Madness rivalry basketball game against the University of Southern Mississippi Tuesday [April 9] at Humphrey Coliseum. During the game, traditional MSU students teamed up with students from the university's ACCESS program, while USM students were paired with Special Olympics Mississippi athletes from the Hattiesburg area. Unified Sports is a Special Olympics program dedicated to promoting social inclusion by joining people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team for shared sports training and competition experiences.
