@HumanSciences Cosplay (COSTUME + PLAY) Showcase

October 31, 2016
12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

About this event

Students in the Mississippi State School of Human Sciences' Japanese Culture and Fashion: Social/Psychological Aspects course (HS 4990) are hosting a Cosplay showcase inspired by Japanese culture and fashion. Cosplay is a subculture that started in Japan, where participants wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific animation or cartoon character of their interest. Students in costumes will present a short clip where they masquerade their costumes with music of their choice. They also will briefly explain what costumes they are wearing and where they received their inspiration. All are welcome to come watch the showcase and ask questions on the day of Halloween! We look forward to seeing you!
