About this event
Dan Sack, program officer with the National Endowment for the Humanities Division of Research Programs, is leading a workshop that will provide an introduction and general overview of NEH programs, special initiatives and funding opportunities. Attendees will learn about specific criteria and strategies for writing competitive NEH applications and gain a better understanding of the review process by listening to a mock peer review panel. Separate 20-minute, one-on-one meetings with Sack are available to MSU researchers on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested should contact Lynn Taylor in the Office of Research and Economic Development at ltaylor@research.msstate.edu to sign up for a timeslot. Appointments are available on March 19 between 1-4:40 p.m. or March 20 from 8-9:20 a.m. Stuart Rockoff, executive director of the Mississippi Humanities Council in Jackson, also will attend and make a brief presentation for the NEH. A question and answer session will follow. Click the "Link" below for more information and to register for this free workshop.
