February 12, 2020

About this event

Sponsored by Mississippi State's Office of Research and Economic Development, this free, all-day workshop will comprehensively address both practical and conceptual aspects that are important to writing competitive grant proposals. It is appropriate for faculty members, postdoctoral researchers and administrative staff who have had some exposure to writing grant applications, either through training/mentoring or personal experience. The presentation will be focused on the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Emphasis is given to doing the "extra" things that can make the difference between success and failure.

The workshop will be presented by Lauren Broyles, associate member of Grant Writers' Seminars and Workshops

All participants will receive an extensive handout, with the option upon registration to purchase a field-relevant copy of The Grant Application Writer's Workbook.
