STARKVILLE, Miss.— Mississippi State University will host the 31st Annual Insurance Day program April 3 and 4 at The Mill at MSU Conference Center.
The continuing education program is organized by the MSU College of Business’ Risk Management and Insurance academic concentration. The 2018 Insurance Day program features keynote speaker Kevin Elko, a consultant, motivational speaker and author who lists Fortune 500 companies and professional sports teams among his clients. He will discuss leadership and how to achieve greatness at work and in life.
Insurance Day attracts hundreds of insurance professionals for sessions that focus on current industry issues. This year, a commissioners’ session will feature Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney, along with those from several other states. Other topics covered during Insurance Day will include legislative updates, discussions on affordable care, ethics, workers’ compensation, building codes, cybersecurity, and a panel on distracted driving risks. Attendees may earn up to 12 continuing education credits at the event.

In addition to talks from leading insurance experts, attendees will hear from new MSU football coach Joe Moorhead and MSU radio announcer Neil Price. A golf tournament will be held at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point on April 3, as well as a reception in the Bryan Building.
