@MaroonEdition Heifer International Global Village Experience

October 13, 2016
to October 16

About this event

Join us for a weekend adventure at the Global Village within the Heifer Project Ranch in Perry County, Arkansas! The Heifer Project is an international aid organization that provides agricultural and educational resources to impoverished communities around the world. In connection with Mississippi State's 2016 Maroon Edition common reading experience selection, “Three Little Words: A Memoir,” participants will visit the farm, meet the animals and take part in the Global Village Experience, where they will improve their understanding of U.S. and global poverty. This trip will provide an excellent opportunity for students to improve their leadership skills and increase their community service experience while spending a fun weekend on a beautiful farm. The trip is FREE TO MSU STUDENTS, but space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Registration is due Sept. 16, with priority given to those registered before Sept. 9. There will be a group orientation meeting and service event in Starkville before departure. Click the "Link" below for registration and other trip-related information. Hail State!
