Auditions for the Mississippi State all-girl and coed cheerleading squads are taking place at the university's Palmeiro Center. Tryouts consist of a fight song, tumbling skills, stunting skills and execution of cheering abilities. The all-girl squad cheers at home football games and select away games, men's and women's home basketball games and home SEC volleyball games. The coed squad cheers at all football games, men's and women's home basketball games and home SEC volleyball games. Both squads attend mandatory practice and perform at alumni events and clinics throughout the year. The $60 registration fee is due upon check-in and is payable via cash or money order.
