Carolyn J. Brown, author of "The Artist’s Sketch: A Biography of painter Kate Freeman Clark" is giving a virtual talk about Mississippi artist Kate Freeman Clark and her work, in conjunction with the exhibition currently on display in the John Grisham Room in Mitchell Memorial Library.

A writer, editor, retired teacher and independent scholar, Brown has authored two award-winning biographies, "A Daring Life: A Biography of Eudora Welty and Song of My Life: A Biography of Margaret Walker" and "A De Grummond Primer: Highlights of the Children’s Literature Collection."
