The 2025 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition at Mississippi State will be held in Foster Ballroom U on Colvard Student Union's second floor. Morning and afternoon sessions will take place Nov. 18, and the final round will take place Nov. 19. Winners will receive cash prizes. All sessions are open to the public and are a great opportunity to learn about MSU research in a TED-talk style presentation. 

The 3MT is an international competition where graduate students have just three minutes to present their research to a panel of judges. The challenge is to turn complex ideas into a clear, compelling pitch that anyone can understand. It’s not about simplifying the science—it’s about sharpening communication and showcasing discoveries in a way that captivates an audience.
