MSU Student Association announces relocation of Bulldog Bash 2016

Contact: Jacob Dye

STARKVILLE, Miss.— The Mississippi State University Student Association is announcing that the location of this fall’s Bulldog Bash has been moved to the MSU Amphitheater.

Due to the annual event’s growth, new property development at its previous location, and other surrounding businesses that will not permit area use, the decision was made to change venues.

“With construction ongoing throughout the Cotton District and no other similar space available within the City of Starkville, we reached out to alternate sites for location change,” said Jacob A. Dye, SA director of marketing. “The Student Association chose the MSU Amphitheater in part due to our history of holding various outdoor events there.”

Created in 1999 to help kick off SEC football play for the MSU Bulldogs, Bulldog Bash has strived to be the most successful student-led concert event in the Southeast. It is designed to bring the university student body, alumni and local community together for a night of fun.

In its initial year, Bulldog Bash drew a crowd of around 2,000 and has grown tremendously throughout its history. The event now hosts crowds exceeding 30,000 MSU students, alumni and fans.
