Led by president Jeff Roman Clayton IV, a senior forestry/wildlife management major from Theodore, Alabama, the MSU Bass Fishing Club is one of many organizations that offer participation through MSU’s recreation department.

In addition to merchandise sales, funding for the club is provided by a number of sponsoring companies, whose logos are featured prominently on members’ jerseys. For more information or to purchase club merchandise, visit www.facebook.com/msubassfishing.

Anyone looking to become a well-rounded and competitive fisherman or woman is welcome to join the club. Members typically meet twice a month. All members must pay $250 in annual club dues.

Along with competing on lakes across the southeastern, central and northern U.S., club members are active in the local community. Volunteer efforts include donations of fishing clothing to the Palmer Home in Columbus, as well as member participation and contributions to such ongoing university fundraising events as the Turkey Trot and Relay for Life.
