The MSU Local Food Systems Research Group (LFSRG) will meet Friday, February 17, at the SSRC in Room 203 from 12-1 p.m. This research interest group is open to all MSU researchers and practitioners interested in all aspects of Local Food Systems development in Mississippi including: local food systems as economic development; food insecurity; food access; limited resource farmers; production and distribution; food hubs; and systems development. LFSRG scheduled meetings for the spring semester are February 17th, March 3rd, and April 21st. Guest speakers and MSU researchers will share their research. This is an important opportunity to bring together all MSU scholars who are active in local food systems development in Mississippi, and those who wish to be, to create a comprehensive learning community.
