MSU announces newest Graduate School Student Hall of Fame Scholars

STARKVILLE, Miss.—One master’s and six doctoral students at Mississippi State are the university’s newest Graduate School Student Hall of Fame Scholars.

Pictured at a recent Graduate Student Appreciation Week ceremony are (left to right) Bhupinder Singh, Anusha Shrestha, Morgan K. Green, Melanie A. Stearns and Navatha Alugubelly. Not pictured are Caleb Houston and Shengtian Wu. Nominated by department heads and selected by the dean of their respective colleges, the scholars all have made significant contributions to the growth of MSU through their exemplary leadership abilities and research or teaching skills in their chosen fields of study.

Singh is an India native pursuing a doctoral degree in plant and soil sciences/agronomy, in which he holds a master’s degree from MSU. Shrestha is a Nepal native pursuing a doctoral degree in forest resources/forestry. Green is a mechanical engineering master’s student from Olive Branch who also is an MSU summa cum laude mechanical engineering bachelor’s graduate. Stearns, a native of Warren, Ohio, is an applied psychology/clinical psychology doctoral student who earlier earned an MSU psychology master’s degree. Alugubelly is an India native pursuing a doctoral degree in environmental toxicology. Houston is a business administration/finance doctoral student from Laurel. Wu is a China native pursuing a doctoral degree in educational psychology/school psychology.
