Dean of College of Forest Resources Candidate Three announced

Mississippi State University and the Search Committee for the Dean of the College of Forest Resources invite interested members of the campus community to attend public presentations by each finalist. The CFR dean also will serve as director of the university’s Forest and Wildlife Research Center.            

Candidate Two: Dr. Joel Snodgrass, Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Dr. Joel  Snodgrass currently serves as Department Head and Professor in Virginia Tech’s Department of Fish and Wildlife Conservation. He previously was Chairperson of the Department of Biological Sciences at Towson University in Maryland, where he ascended the faculty ranks to Full Professor. He worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate at Rutgers University in the Division of Life Sciences and Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute. Earlier, he also worked in Brevard County, Florida, for Office of Natural Resources Management.

Dr. Snodgrass completed his doctoral work in ecology at the University of Georgia. He has a master’s degree in zoology from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Guilford College.
