MSU’s Warkentin to be featured on panel about utilizing AI for cybersecurity

A Mississippi State University College of Business professor will discuss how experts can harness the power of artificial intelligence for future cybersecurity endeavors during a virtual forum on Tuesday [June 27].

Merrill Warkentin, Giles Distinguished Professor and James J. Rouse Endowed Professor of Information, is one of five academia, government and industry representatives featured in MIT Technology Review’s upcoming event “Cybersecurity in the Era of Generative AI,” sponsored in association with Darktrace, a global leader in cybersecurity AI.

The panel will explore topics including the impact of generative AI and how to leverage it effectively against threats; strengths and weaknesses of different types of AI; embedded AI solutions; and practical guidance and actionable insights.
