STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State’s Department of Kinesiology is hosting its fifth annual StarkVegas Fútbol Jamboree Saturday, April 6, on MSU’s campus.

Open to all ages and skill levels, the festivities kick off at 9 a.m. at the Fresh Fields on Stone Boulevard and include 3v3 soccer tournaments. Registration is $30 per team and is available at https://svfj.weebly.com/. Those interested in volunteering, refereeing or sponsoring the event may find more information through the same link.

MSU’s sport administration graduate students are organizing the jamboree in collaboration with the university’s ACCESS program, a postsecondary program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event is designed to bring together members of the Starkville community and beyond while supporting students with special needs.

“The jamboree offers a hands-on learning experience for event management students, allowing them to plan and manage a sport event for our community,” said Soyoun Lim, assistant professor of kinesiology and jamboree director. “We hope that this event promotes physical activity and inclusivity in Starkville and surrounding communities.”

The winners in each of the six divisions will receive prizes. For more information, contact Lim at s.lim@msstate.edu.
