Under the direction of Michael Brown, the Starkville-Mississippi State University Symphony Orchestra is presenting a series of children's concerts throughout the day in historic Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium. Local second graders from Sudduth Elementary School took the stage earlier today [Nov. 6] to sing along for a portion of the program. Friday evening's 7:30 p.m. performance of “Music is a Universal Language” is free to all and features works by Johannes Brahms (1833-97), Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904), Claude-Michel Schönberg (1944- ), Dmitri Kabalevsky (1904-87) and Franz von Suppé (1819-95).
