While students, faculty and staff were away for winter holidays, construction on campus continued on several major building projects. MSU's new classroom building is underway and will be a "showpiece" for the campus, officials have said. Equipped with the latest state-of-the-art instructional technologies, the classroom building also will feature a multipurpose auditorium and will have a study group area, study rooms and seating areas. The structure will be reminiscent in design to the campus's legendary Old Main Dormitory, which was destroyed by fire in 1959.
