Part of a small group of students spending five weeks in Russia to study language, culture and history at Moscow University of the Humanities, along with Stephen Brain, MSU professor of history, are Stuart Simms, a history major from Athens, Alabama, and Kaitlyn Crawford, a criminology major from Madison. Pictured with a statue of Alexander Pushkin, a famous Russian poet, the students spent half days in intensive language classes before afternoon excursions to historical and cultural sites, including the Kremlin, Winter Palace and Sergiyev Posad.
