The Starkville/MSU Symphony presented its annual family concert Friday [Nov. 8] evening with community-centered prelude performances for school children that day. Celebrating this year's theme of “Sing, Dance, Clap, Draw!” the concert is part of a multidisciplinary music education effort designed to introduce local children to symphonic music. The program gave elementary students an opportunity to learn and interpret several classic folk songs, numerous clapping rhythms, folk dance and folk art.
