'Dialog' features student, pre-med adviser

University Relations News Bureau (662) 325-3442 March 06, 1997

A graduate student from Russia and the professor who directs Mississippi State University's pre-med advising program are guests on a local television program hosted by university president Donald Zacharias.

Victoria Khamarito and biological sciences professor Tom Morrow are featured in "Dialog," a monthly 30-minute program that airs on Northland Cable's MSTV-30.

Air dates during the next several weeks are March 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, all at 7 p.m.

Khamarito, who last year earned an undergraduate degree in communication, has worked as an intern for ABC-TV news. Now working toward a master of business administration degree at Mississippi State, she aspires to a broadcast career in the United States or her native Russia.

Morrow has served as pre-med adviser for nearly three decades. During that time, Mississippi State has averaged 22 students per year accepted to medical school.

"Dialog," taped in the studios of the university's Television Center, is now in its sixth year of production.
