A seminar on academic student advising will be combined with a "brown bag" lunch June 4 at Mississippi State University.
Sponsored by the Advising Center for Entering Students, the 90-minute program will begin at 11:30 a.m. in 301-302 Colvard Union.
"We will be discussing issues related to summer orientation and policy changes that affect academic advising," said center coordinator Jamie Inmon. "We are encouraging attendance by all university faculty and staff involved in any stage of advising."
Among tentative topics: academic alerts and academic probation; the Partners for Academic Commitment to Excellence (PACE) Program; and changes in admission requirements and transfer policies.
