STARKVILLE, Miss.--Interested musicians are invited to participate in the 2005 Starkville/Mississippi State University Community Band.
The group begins its second season with a Jan. 10 rehearsal to be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Famous Maroon Band hall next to Bowen Hall.
"All musicians with previous instrumental experience may participate, with any level of experience welcome," said director Craig Aarhus.
The MSU assistant director of bands said participants must be at least 15 years of age and pay a $15 registration fee. Participants also may qualify for continuing education credits.
Weekly rehearsals each Monday night will lead to concerts planned for March 1 and April 10, Aarhus said.
