STARKVILLE, Miss.--Mississippi State musicians Rosangela Y. Sebba and Michael Huff will give three public recitals next month, including one at the university and two in the nation's capital.

Sebba, a pianist, and Huff, who plays the trumpet, will perform "A Recital of Concerti for Trumpet" by Torelli, Hummel and Ewazen March 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bettersworth Auditorium of Giles Hall. The performance is presented by the department of music education, in which both are faculty members.

Giles Hall is the home of MSU's architecture program and offices of the dean of the College of Architecture, Art and Design.

The duo repeats its performance March 14 and 16, respectively, at Catholic University of America and the Brazilian Embassy's Brazilian-American Cultural Institute. The Washington recitals start, respectively, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Specifically, their selections include Concerto in D Major by Giuseppe Torelli (1658-1709) and Concerto in E-flat Major by Johann N. Hummel (1778-1837), as well as Concerto for Trumpet by contemporary composer Eric Ewazen.

Sebba is a native of Brazil, where she frequently performed as solo pianist and/or accompanist and won many first prizes in national competition. She specializes in Brazilian music.

Huff serves as an instructor of high brass. He is principal trumpet of the Starkville Symphony and first trumpet with the Golden Triangle Brass Quintet.
