STARKVILLE, Miss.--A Mississippi State senior from Macon is a new representative for Mississippi students to the National Business Education Association's board of directors.
Lindley E. Simpson recently was elected to the position at the Mississippi Business Education Association's fall conference in Biloxi. A technology teacher education major and President's Scholar at the university, she is the daughter of James and Linda Simpson.
Also during the coast meeting, assistant professor Teri L. Brandenburg was chosen to succeed professor Connie Forde as the state's senior college representative to the national organization's governing board. Both are faculty members in MSU's department of instructional systems, leadership and workforce development.
With offices in Reston, Va., NBEA is the largest professional organization serving individuals and groups engaged in instruction, administration, research, and dissemination of information for and about business and business education.
The state organization represents academic programs at the high school-senior college levels.
