STARKVILLE, Miss.--Two members of Mississippi State's music department faculty will perform in concert Sunday [Oct. 29] at the university's McComas Hall theater.
A part of the 2006-07 Lyceum Faculty Chamber Series, the 3 p.m. program features soprano Eleanor M. Bulathsinghalage and pianist Rosangela Y. Sebba.
General admission is $5 for all but MSU students, who will be admitted free with identification.
The veteran artists will interpret selections from composers Aaron Copland, Robert Schumann, Francis Poulenc, Undine Smith Moore, and Giuseppe Verdi.
Bulathsinghalage, a Florence, Ala., native, is a graduate of the universities of North Alabama and Louisville (Ky.). She is a multiple award winner for vocal achievements in both classical and contemporary styles.
Sebba, also a multiple award winner, is a much-in-demand soloist and accompanist. Founder and coordinator of the department's Brazilian Music Festival, she holds degrees from the Universidade Federal de Goias-Brazil and the universities of Wyoming and Southern Mississippi.
