LAUDERDALE LEADER HONORED--Dr. William G. Riley, right, accepted an honorary doctor of science degree May 5 from Mississippi State President Robert H. "Doc" Foglesong at the university's spring commencement. In 1988, the Meridian native and his brother, Dr. Richard Riley, created The Riley Foundation, which was instrumental in creating the MSU Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts in downtown Meridian.
