University Relations News Bureau (662) 325-3442 Contact: Kenneth Billings December 04, 2007

STARKVILLE, Miss.--The assistant director of sponsored programs administration at Mississippi State is leading a national committee working to advance the profession of research-grants administration.

Robyn B. Remotigue, a 13-year university employee, has been selected for a two-year term as chair of the Pre-Award Neighborhood Committee of the National Council of University Research Administrators.

In that role, she will assist in disseminating breaking research news concerning federal and non-federal agencies. She also will be responsible for heading a support network for colleagues in research administration, including guidance on the all-important submission process for grant proposals.

In addition, the committee regularly sponsors Web-based seminars that provide training and continuing education for university research administrators worldwide.

A Cincinnati, Ohio, native, Remotigue holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Cincinnati and an MSU master's in public policy and administration.
