Charlie Nutt, executive director of the National Academic Advising Association, will speak Thursday [Sept. 18] at Mississippi State.
Sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the university's Advising Task Force, his presentation will begin at 11 a.m. in ground-floor Eastman Auditorium of the Swalm Chemical Engineering Building. "Advising is Teaching" will be his topic.
While designed primarily for faculty and staff members engaged in the student consultation process, the program is open to all. Prior to his talk, Nutt will be available to discuss various aspects of the work.
Nutt holds master's degree and doctoral degrees from Georgia Southern University.
