U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker and 3rd District Congressman Gregg Harper will be special guests April 14 when Mississippi State co-sponsors the 2009 Missile Defense Research and Development Conference. "Technology and Public Policy" is the program theme.
Also sponsored by the Northrop Grumman Corp., the event takes place 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the university's Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems in the Cochran Research Park, which is located adjacent to campus.
CAVS is an interdisciplinary operation of engineering, research, development, and technology transfer teams focused on solving complex problems, including those encountered in technologies designed to improve human mobility.
While the conference is not a public event, interested members of the news media are invited to attend.
