The Emperor's New Clothes," written for the stage by Michele L. Vacca and based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale, is being presented Thursday [Nov. 19] for audiences of all ages by Mississippi State's communication department. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. on the McComas Hall main stage, the Theatre MSU performance centers around a vain and greedy ruler played by junior Charles R. "Max" Herrington of Jackson. The play is part of the department's 17th annual children's showcase week. Available at the door, general admission tickets are $10; $5 for MSU students (with identification) and children.
