University Relations News Bureau (662) 325-3442 Contact: Margaret Kovar February 17, 2012

STARKVILLE, Miss.--Mississippi State University's communication department opens its spring performance season next week with a dark comedy by award-winning playwright Liz Duffy Adams.

"Dog Act" runs Feb. 23-25 in the university's McComas Hall ground-floor Lab Theatre.

Doors open at 7 p.m. each night, with the curtain rising 30 minutes later. Seating is limited.

A Theatre MSU production intended for mature audiences, Adams' wilderness of post-apocalyptic America is a variation on the doomsday genre and chronicles the adventures of several traveling performers. (For more about Adams, see www.playscripts.com/author?authorid=283.)

Admission is $10 at the door. Tickets also may be purchased under the "single ticket" listing at https://www.comm.msstate.edu/theatre/tickets/index.php.
