Mississippi State University officials are monitoring weather conditions, with current plans to continue normal operations with all classes and work schedules to continue as planned on Friday, Jan. 18.
"We are constantly evaluating information and consulting with meteorologists. As of this afternoon, we plan to continue normal operations throughout Friday. However, we will update weather related announcements as necessary," said Sid Salter, director of University Relations.
Salter said students, faculty and staff should monitor local media outlets to stay aware of changing weather conditions and monitor www.emergency.msstate.edu for updates. Each person should use good judgment in evaluating risks along individual commute routes and use caution while driving, as well as when navigating sidewalks, stairs and building entrance ways, which could be slick.
