Mississippi State will hold a fall semester welcome-back party Aug. 21 at the university amphitheater.
Beginning at 7 p.m., the free public event will feature the music of "U.S.," a Canadian band that has toured extensively at American universities and colleges and opened for several national rock concert tours.
"Mixations DJ's" of Tuscaloosa, Ala., will be the opening act for the fifth annual welcoming party sponsored by the MSU Campus Activities Board, Interfraternity and Panhellenic councils, Music Maker Productions, and the Residence Hall Association.
Fall semester classes begin Aug. 23.
The amphitheater is located near Scott Field and the intersection of Lee and Bully boulevards.
