An Oct. 9 and 10 Mississippi State University workshop will offer hands-on training in floral designs for weddings.
Taught by retail floristry instructors James M. DelPrince, AIFD, and Lynette McDougald, the sessions will cover order-taking, flowers-to-carry designs, altar designs, centerpieces, flowers for cake tables, and other topics.
Sarah E. Pittman, a junior political science/pre-law major from Eupora, will lead a separate presentation on liability issues.
All programs will be held in the University Florist design studio. Class hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on the 9th; 8 a.m.-noon the following day.
