About this event

Join MSU Japan Outreach Coordinator Chieko Iwata for a special kimono demonstration! Iwata will show attendees how to wear the traditional Japanese garment, as well as discuss the history and purpose of different types of kimonos. Also featured in the Cullis Wade Depot Art Gallery through March 29 is the MSU art department's "Silk Unraveled" exhibit. Highlighting the interdisciplinary research and impact of silk, the exhibit features objects from the university's museum collections, including the Lois Dowdle Cobb Museum of Archaeology, MSU Entomological Museum, MSU Herbarium and MSU Historic Costume and Textiles Collection.
