High-caliber riders from across the country will show their skills at the Mississippi Horse Park during the annual Rotary Classic Rodeo. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association event will begin at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, attendees can enjoy pony rides and a petting zoo on the arena floor from 5-6:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $15 at the door or $12 in advance. Children 12 and under are admitted free on Friday; Saturday children’s admission is $5. Rodeo events include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie down roping, barrel racing and team roping. Contestants will compete for prize money, which helps them to qualify for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas in December.
