About this event

Mississippi State University officials are celebrating the new $41 million Old Main Academic Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on the Starkville campus. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature remarks from MSU officials and supporters. Old Main Academic Center was designed by Eupora-based Belinda Stewart Architects and is meant to resemble the famous Old Main dormitory, which burned in 1959. Built by Brandon-based Johnson Construction, the building features 60,000 square feet of parking space, 90,000 square feet of classroom space space and state-of-the-art technology, as well as resources provided through MSU Libraries. The structure is expected to serve approximately 11,000 students on its busiest class days.
