Speakers include Rhett Hobart, MSU assistant athletic director/marketing and branding, and Leah Beasley, MSU senior associate athletic director/external affairs; Steve Soltis, former senior director of corporate executive and employee communication for Coca-Cola and MSU communication department advisory board member; Bey-Ling Sha, APR, professor and director in San Diego State University’s School of Journalism and Media Studies who co-authored the 11th edition of “Cutlip and Center’s Effective Public Relations,” one of the world’s leading textbooks in the public relations field; Rex Kelly, consultant in the area of public and corporate relations through his own firm and senior counselor with The Hawthorn Group in Alexandria, Virginia; Mitch Marovitz, APR, Fellow PRSA, chair and professor for the Public Relations Program at the University of Maryland University College in Washington, D.C., and chair of the Universal Accreditation Board; Katherine Morales, APR, founder of InFlection Point Communications in Atlanta, Georgia, and co-chair of the Certificate in Principles of Public Relations Workgroup with the Universal Accreditation Board; and Garland Stansell, APR, chief communication officer for Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham.
