About this event

Mississippi State's Maroon Volunteer Center is partnering with the university's Department of Philosophy and Religion, Division of Student Affairs and College of Arts and Sciences to send a team of students on an Alternative Fall Break trip to Heifer International's Project Ranch in Little Rock, Arkansas! Heifer International is an Arkansas-based, community development-focused nonprofit organization working to resolve poverty and hunger around the world. Heifer's Global Village is a hands-on educational experience where students are challenged to live in modeled developing world conditions. They are given problems to solve—including how to gather enough food for the day—and are required to engage their teamwork and problem solving skills to overcome challenges. Want an opportunity to participate in a life-changing experience? Click the link below and apply today! Food, travel and transportation are fully funded for students whose applications are approved.
