GRC Educational Webinar: 'Student-Driven Mental Health Research with NIH's R15 Grants'

August 30, 2018
11:00 am to 1:00 pm

About this event

The National Institute of Mental Health suggests that mental illnesses affect millions of people and only half receive treatment each year. Mississippi State University's Office of Sponsored Projects - Proposal Services is hosting a webinar featuring NIMH representatives. Sarah Morris, chief of the NIMH Adult Psychopathology and Psychosocial Interventions Research Branch, will shine light on pressing issues within mental health research relative to the R15 award mechanism. Aileen Schulte, scientific review officer for the NIMH Division of Extramural Activities Review Branch, plays a significant role throughout the grant application review process. She also will join the conversation to provide an insider’s perspective on submission tips and best practices. The live session will stream in the Office of Sponsored Projects Conference Room (Room 131G) in Etheredge Hall. A digital recording of the webinar will be available after the live streaming session. Those who would like to attend the live streaming session or request a copy of the digital recording should email Lauren Clark at lclark@osp.msstate.edu.
