Join renowned nuclear physicist Alan Nathan as he discusses his research on the physics of baseball! Nathan's talk will explore the role of the batter's grip during the ball-bat collision, how atmospheric conditions affect the flight of the baseball, and the recent surge in home runs, among other topics. Free ballpark snacks will be served in the Old Main Academic Center's lobby following the presentation. This event is inspired by renowned author and MSU alumnus John Grisham's "Calico Joe," the university's 2018 Maroon Edition book selection. Click the link below for more information.
