About this event

Mississippi State University's Department of Geosciences, African American Studies program, and the International Institute are hosting a panel discussion where faculty and students from Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in St. Kitts will discuss water quality, hydrology, geography and other environment-related topics and issues. Panelists include Quincy Edwards, professor of environmental studies and biology; Glenroy Blanchett, geography instructor; Aleksei Burroughs, environmental science and geography student; and Nichele Huggins, environmental science and geography student. The discussion will be moderated by MSU Geosciences Department Head John Rodgers, who received a 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund award from the Partners of Americas to implement a bilateral study abroad experience between MSU and Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in St. Kitts. The goal of this grant is to stimulate higher education institutional linkages that help increase student and faculty exchange opportunities between the U.S., Central America and the Caribbean.
