As part of its GIS Day celebration, Mississippi State's Department of Geosciences is sponsoring a lecture by Toby Sanford, GIS manager at Golden Triangle Planning and Development District Inc. Also sponsored by the MSU student chapter of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), Sanford's talk will focus on using GIS data and GPS mapping to expedite area recovery from natural disasters.
