Mississippi State's Student Counseling Services is offering an interactive and engaging workshop open to all interested students. SCS clinicians will increase students' understanding of the physical effects of stress and anxiety by teaching them about the fight, flight or freeze response, as well as the differences between motivational and unhelpful stress/anxiety and the differences between stress/anxiety and diagnosable disorders. Participants also will practice a basic technique for stress and anxiety management.

The Mississippi State University Student Counseling Services are available to support any students who need assistance. The center is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday-Friday for walk-in appointments, and counselors are on call 24 hours a day. Services can be accessed by calling 662-325-2091.
